Danny Masterson, the actor known for his role in “That ’70s Show,” has been moved from one prison to another in California. He was previously in Corcoran State Prison, which is a really tough place, like where they kept Charles Manson! Now, he’s in California Men’s Colony, which is in a city called San Luis Obispo. This new prison is supposed to be a bit better, with programs to help inmates learn stuff and improve themselves.
The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation confirmed that Masterson was transferred on February 16th. But they couldn’t say why because of the rules.
Before Corcoran, Masterson was in another prison called North Kern State Prison. He’s been moved around a bit lately.
Masterson got into trouble because he was convicted of doing something really bad to two women a long time ago. He was sentenced to a really long time in prison, like 30 years to life!
A judge said he couldn’t get out on bail while he appeals his case because he might try to run away. The judge mentioned that Masterson doesn’t have a wife anymore, so he might not want to come back to prison if he gets out.
Masterson’s actions hurt those women, and the judge said he needed to think about what he did. He won’t be able to get out of prison until at least 2042 when he’ll be 66 years old. That’s a long time to wait.
